One of the Martyrs of Japan. A Japanese layman, Andrew was born in Nagasaki. Arrested by authorities and refusing to deny the faith, Andrew was burned alive with Blessed Leonard Kimura on November 18, 1619. Andrew had sheltered missionaries.
