President Trump has dismissed Anthony Scaramucci from his post as White House communications director. No explanation has been given and it is unclear if he will remain employed at the White House in another capacity.
Anthony Scaramucci is out after just 10 days on the job.
LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - President Trump has decided to dismiss Anthony Scaramucci from his role as communications director at the White House. The decision comes just 10 days after he was given the job.
Scaramucci's short-lived job was punctuated with scandal following comments he made that many regarded as crude and imprudent. At one point Scaramucci boasted that he reported directly to President Trump, and not the White House Chief of Staff, John Kelly.
The people who have reported this decision to the media added that Scaramucci was dismissed at the insitance of Kelly, who may have felt undermined by Scaramucci's boasting.
It is unclear if Scaramucci will be given another post within the White House.
Scaramucci is also a financier. His wife, Deidre Ball filed for divorce last week, but no public statement why has been made. Ball gave birth to the couple's second child in July 24, while Scarmucci was with President Trump at a rally.
