In a shocking announcement, the Trump administration has suggested it will continue to uphold an onerous Obama era requirement that religious groups pay for contraception. The signal has been communicated in the form of the Little Sisters of the Poor case, which the Department of Justice has asked for another 60 days to negotiate.
We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) -- President Trump promised on the campaign trail he would kill the Obamacare mandate that requires religious organizations to provide contraceptive services. Such services are at odds with the sincere religious beliefs of groups like Little Sisters of the Poor who have sued to prevent enforcement of the provision.
However, the Department of Justice has just asked a judge to provide them with an additional 60 days to negotiate with several religious institutions and find a solution without having to change the law.
The request came from the Department of Justice, but it is unclear of Trump is aware of the request. It is possible Trump could reverse the request once aware of it.
The request is at odds with the public statements of Trump and other administrators.
The Health and Human Services (HHS) Director, Tom Price has a 100 percent pro-life voting record. It is likely he remains as pro-life as ever and will use his position to help resolve the dispute.
So far, the story is developing, and no comment has yet been made by the Trump administration.
