Clinton gushed over Wall Street insiders who paid her $3 million.

Wikileaks has exposed the hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton, and her duplicitous strategy to capture support from Bernie Sanders progressives. Leaks of her remarks to Wall Street reveal her affinity for global trade and big business.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Bernie Sanders gave voice to millions of progressives who feel the greatest issue in this election is income inequality. Early on, Clinton built her campaign on holding the ground in gay marriage and abortion issues.

Search the leaked emails here (WikiLeaks).

Sanders supporters repeatedly warned that Clinton was a globalist and a pro-Wall Street, establishment insider. To support their claims, they pointed out Clinton's refusal to release details of her speeches to Wall Street. She has also been widely supported by Wall Street during this election cycle and in previous elections.

However, during the primary, Clinton denied her relationship with Wall Street and claimed she would be just as tough as Sanders on excessive Wall Street behavior. She denied that big banks and big business had purchased influence with her via campaign donations.

Clinton succeeded in fostering reasonable doubt. Because she did not release her Wall Street speeches, there was no way to know for sure just how cozy she was to big business. During her campaign, she adopted many of Sander's populist proposals and language, and presently claims to be a champion of "all Americans," not just the 1 percent.

Progressives have since warmed to her promises, believing she is the best hope for a progressive future. Even Bernie Sanders has endorsed Clinton.

But Wikileaks may have spoiled some of that now that her remarks have been leaked. The conclusion? Hillary Clinton has been lying to everybody.

Remarks from John Podesta's hacked email reveal that Clinton is much more cozy with Wall Street than she has admitted. Podesta is Clinton's campaign manager. The remarks were leaked on Friday.

In her statements, for which she was paid upwards of $3 million, Clinton told Wall Street insiders that they were the best ones to regulate the banking industry. She referred to them as the "smartest people.     )6838 *1 5)-50**

The remarks are at odds with Clinton's attempt to portray herself as a progressive. She is clearly an establishment insider. And she obviously did not release the remarks because they would reveal her hypocrisy.

Sanders supporters cannot help but be outraged. Clinton lied to them and to the nation when she denied she was a Wall Street insider. She has attempted to portray herself as a populist candidate like Bernie Sanders when she is a globalist.

Unfortunately, these releases may come too late. Many Americans have made their mind about the election and neither Trump nor Clinton offer a compelling choice to the majority. Unlike Sanders, their campaigns are based on preventing the other candidate from winning, not on building a better vision for America.
