Why Tim Kaine is NOT a Catholic when it comes to abortion

Catholics cannot support his position.

Tim Kaine and Mike Pence sparred over abortion in the Vice Presidential debate last night. The two highlighted their differences with Kaine claiming he opposed abortion, while supporting its continuance.

Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Tim Kaine, who is a Catholic that supports abortion, tried to claim that he was actually opposed to it. However, his opposition is "personal" and does not manifest itself in any kind of policy or advocacy.

The logical conclusion is that Tim Kaine actually supports abortion.

Kaine is Hillary Clinton's running mate and will become vice president if Clinton is elected.

Mike Pence clashed with Kaine, who emphasized his opposition to abortion.

Kaine argued, "We support the constitutional right of American women to consult their own conscience, their own supportive partner, their own minister, but then make their own decision about pregnancy."

The comment about the minister being involved is unrealistic. Few people consult ministers before killing their babies.

He added, "it is not the role of the public servant to mandate that for everybody else." This may be correct, but it remains a lie to say you are opposed to abortion then, facilitate it though action or inaction. So Kaine may respect the secular state, but he is lying about his opposition.

Pence spoke about Trump's statement that women should be punished for seeking abortions, saying that he did not support such a position. He added that he was proud to be part of a pro-life ticket with Trump.

Donald Trump is a dedicated pro-life candidate. 16(); -(?)5*8  He has demonstrated this dedication on many occasions. He has also appointed a Catholic advisory board that includes Deacon Keith Fournier, Editor-in-Chief of Catholic Online.

No good Catholic can in good conscience support an anti-life candidate who supports abortion. Abortion is the killing of an unborn child in the womb. The Church has been absolutely clear on this issue and there is no room for dissent. As a result, Tim Kaine may say he is catholic, but his words and his actions do not reflect a Catholic position on the issue.
