LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Seth Conrad Rich was murdered last month in Washington DC. Rich worked for the Democratic National Committee. He would have had access to sensitive emails and other information.
Rich was murdered, shot twice in the back by an unknown assailant. Police have not found a suspect or a motive. When police arrived, Rich still had his wallet, his phone and his watch on his person.
According to some speculation within the Reddit community, Rich was killed while en route to meet with FBI agents. His meeting was to discuss the "ongoing court case" against the Clinton family.
Speculation about Rich's murder abated as the case went cold, that is until Tuesday when Wikileaks boss Julian Assange dropped a reference to Rich in an interview.
Assange was speaking to an interviewer on the Dutch television program, "Nieuwsuur" when he mentioned "a 27-year old who works for the DNC and was shot in the back."
Assange then backtracked and stammered that Wikileaks does not reveal sources because doing so could put them at risk. However, the interviewer pressed Assange, and the name was eventually spoken, "Seth Rich."
This means Seth Rich was the source of the DNC emails released by Wikileaks.
If so, this establishes a motive, but without a shooter, or even a murder weapon, there is little hope of justice.
The Clinton family has been suspected of involvement in dozens of murders. A former hit man, Larry Nichols even came forward to claim he worked for the family, but the claims aren't verified (obviously). Is this a case of where there's smoke there's fire? Until new information is found, we will remain in the dark.
Wikileaks is offering a $20,000 reward for anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of Rich's murderer.
