LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - The rumor mill is in full swing after someone dropped the word that Republicans are asking how they can replace him.

The party is upset with some of his gaffes of late, including his dismissal of a woman with a crying baby from a public appearance, and his running feud with the Khan family. Trump continues to lose support from fellow Republicans as he speaks whatever comes to mind in public.

Trump's own vice presidential pick, Mike Pence also broke away from the nominee and endorsed Paul Ryan. Trump has withheld his endorsement, probably to make Ryan sweat after Ryan refused to endorse him in a timely fashion. Trump explained that he was "not there yet," using the same words to deny Ryan that Ryan used against him months ago.

Trump has also refused to back Arizona senator John McCain.

The RNC is allegedly upset with Trump's slow endorsements, and Reince Preibus is said to have placed an angry call to Trump.

So far Trump hasn't indicated he plans to quit and he cannot be forced out at this point. Instead he would have to quit on his own accord. This is unlikely, quitting is for losers.

If Trump were to quit, or any nominee for that matter, he would have to drop out by early September to give the RNC enough time to decide on a replacement. Also, they would need to get the replacement candidate on the ballots of all 50 states.

Donald Trump has also slipped in the polls and may be trailing Hillary Clinton by seven to ten points.

There are less than 100 days before the presidential election and if Trump plans to make a bold move to defeat Clinton, the time to deliver is soon. As voters make up their minds and the pool of swing voters evaporates, Trump and the Republicans lose ground. Constant media pressure is helping Hillary Clinton to win.

Republicans panicking and seeking a replacement for Trump this late in the process does them no favors.
