The people have won! Trump becomes official nominee

Donald Trump wins Republican nomination with votes to spare.

Donald Trump is the official Republican nominee for president. Last night, Trump was officially awarded 1,725 delegates to become the nominee.  The total is well above the 1,237 required by the party rules.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - America has a nationalist, populist, outsider candidate for president. Political maverick, Donald Trump has secured the Republican nomination for president.

Trump earned the support of 1,725 delegates to become the official nominee.

Trump appeared briefly by video to assure the convention they would win in November. Trump was followed by a solid cast of speakers including the conservative by day, Paul Ryan, Ben Carson, his daughter Tiffany, and his son, Donald Jr.

But it was New Jersey governor Chris Christie who stole the show, by putting Hillary Clinton on virtual trial. "We're going to do something fun here," he announced. He then proceeded to list Clinton's felonies and asked the crowd each time, "guilty or not guilty?"

As opposed to Monday's lackluster opening, Tuesday felt more like a festival. The speakers were better and there was more energy and enthusiasm in the venue.

Donald Trump's victory is sweet because he is the choice of the people, not the establishment. The establishment has done nothing but offer candidates who will do more of the same, selling out America to the highest bidder, and giving away the profits to the those do not work and those who don't deserve them.

There was hardly no difference between some of the Republican hopefuls and Hillary Clinton. Fortunately, the people have succeeded in their revolt. They've sent a message to the Republican leadership that mediocre candidates won't do. We demand a strong president who will represent the people and uphold the law. We want a president who will defend our rights and our religious freedom. From the beginning, Donald Trump has been that candidate.

His nomination is a triumph of the people and democracy. Hopefully Tuesday's enthusiasm is just a taste of what is to come.
