Saying "Mr. Trump has created a movement in this country that cannot be denied," Sheldon Adelson has pledged at least $100 million to Trump's campaign. The contribution from Adelson will be the largest yet and shows that some members of the Republican elite are prepared to back Trump.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Donald Trump is about to receive some support from billionaire casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson. The pair met in Manhattan late last week and discussed the possibility of Adelson supporting Trump.
So far, Trump's campaign has been largely funded by himself, but now that Trump will be competing in the election against Hillary Clinton's fundraising machine, he will need a lot more money than he has available to win. Trump has estimated he could need up to one billion to compete against Clinton.
Several high-dollar Republican donors, such as the Koch brothers, have pledged to withhold support from Trump. Despite this, several conservatives have urged unity behind Trump because he is the choice of the people.
In an op ed on Friday, Adelson wrote, "He is a candidate with actual CEO experience, shaped and molded by the commitment and risk of his own money rather than the public's... [he] has created a movement in this country that cannot be denied."
Trump has also pledged to be a robust supporter of Israel, something that is important to Adelson, who is Jewish.
It is unclear how Adelson will get the money to Trump, since he has to donate it through a Super PAC, and the correct PAC hasn't been chosen yet.
