We ask you, urgently: don't scroll past this

Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.

For the first time in history a mobile app could decide an election.

The Mobile Politics app, developed by Mobile Politics LLC and adopted by Catholic Online as a vehicle for activism, is being picked up by users across the nation, particularly in the battleground states. Statistics released by Mobile Politics LLC reveal that use of the app is now up 150 percent in the last 60 days.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Mobile Politics LLC is keeping track of the app's downloads and usage and has found that new users, hungry for information in what is expected to be a close election, are adopting the app to keep track of political developments.

Mobile Politics was launched earlier this year as a tool that allows users to follow campaigns and causes via news, alerts, updates, and pulses. Pulses are polls taken in realtime which candidates and organizations can use to get immediate feedback from supporters.

The app also allows users to make secure contributions to the candidates and organizations they care about.

Thomas Panuzio, President of Mobile Politics said, "Clearly undecided mobile voters in swing states have turned their attention to the 2012 presidential election and are demanding an increase in news content, news alerts and polling data in an effort to learn more about the candidates. Our polling in these swing states reflects nearly 25% of mobile voters are undecided, among the presidential race."

The report shows that Mobile Politics, which is the first app of its kind to bundle a number of networking features, including social networking, into a single application, is well positioned to impact the presidential race.

With the race appearing closer than ever, it's the little things that count. A few dollars, a timely reminder, or perhaps some meaningful engagement in a critical swing state, or even county, could make the difference between winning and losing in the election. Mobile Politics, touted as "the greatest political invention since the ballot" has the power to do all these things.

A few years ago, it would have appeared unlikely that a simple application, designed for use on a smartphone, would be so powerful that it could decide the outcome of an election. Yet, with smartphone adoption accelerating and users interacting more and more with their world via tablets and smartphones, it makes perfect sense.

Mobile apps have revolutionized the business world with virtually every consumer-targeted industry having developed one to drive customer engagement. Now, this trend has come to politics and is every bit the new reality.

Political hopeful ignore this at their peril.
