LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Sources indicate that on Monday, the former President of the United States, and father of the current occupant of the White House, George H.W. Bush, will formally endorse Senator John McCain for President.
The coveted endorsement is to take place in Houston, Texas on Monday morning.
Last weekend, the former President appeared on "Fox News Sunday" where he said he would offer assistance to the Republican frontrunner once he was the formal nominee. He indicated that his efforts would include helping to shore up the candidates' support in the conservative community.
This latest endorsement adds to the endorsement of former Governor Jeb Bush. It also comes on the heels of a formal endorsement on Thursday from Gov. Mitt Romney, who, as recently as last week, was the Arizona Senators rival for the nomination.
