LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Emergency medics were on scene trying to resuscitate the unnamed 33-year-old woman when police officers arrived.
The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center and pronounced dead.
According to 1010WINS, sources have provided detail regarding the rosary shoved in the dead woman's mouth and the woman's boyfriend's suspicious behavior.
Police confirmed, "Earlier in the day, the woman's boyfriend was in the street naked and ranting about the devil," according to CBS New York.
"I saw someone naked by 167th next to the 4 train station. He was walking naked, but I really didn't know what happened," a neighbor told 1010 WINS. "He was screaming."
The man was Tasered and taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital.
Police have launched an investigation into the woman's death, and the medical examiner is currently trying to determine the cause of her death.
We can easily try to speculate what really went on during this woman's last minutes of life on Earth, but we are not in that position to judge.
Join us in praying for this woman's soul.
O merciful God,
take pity on those souls
who have no particular friends and intercessors
to recommend them to Thee, who,
either through the negligence of those who are alive,
or through length of time are forgotten
by their friends and by all.
Spare them, O Lord,
and remember Thine own mercy,
when others forget to appeal to it.
Let not the souls which Thou hast created
be parted from thee, their Creator.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
