LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - With two weeks to go until the election, the nation was stunned to hear that the investigation into Clinton's emails had been reopened. A previous, year-long investigation yielded evidence that Clinton has trafficked classified information on her private server, but the FBI did not feel Clinton acted in such a way as to warrant criminal prosecution. Therefore, they closed the case.
At the same time, Anthony Weiner, the former congressman and husband of top Clinton aide, Huma Abedin, was under investigation for sexting a teenage girl. According to legal documents, Weiner exchanged sexually explicit messages with a 15 year-old girl including selfies in which he was practically naked. He also asked the girl to send photos to him, it is unclear if she did so.
Part of the police investigation into Weiner's possible sex crimes involved the seizure and search of his laptop. During that search, the FBI found that his wife, Huma Abedin hasd also logged into the Clinton email server. The FBI wanted to know if any copies of Clinton's previously deleted emails were on Weiner's laptop.
The search revealed nothing, and just before the election, James Comey announced that nothing new had been found on the laptop.
Clinton supporters cried foul, and blamed Comey for Clinton's loss of the election.
Those same supporters have blamed, Republican accusations, WikiLeaks, fake news, third party voters, the "alt-right," and more. Virtually everyone is to blame except Hillary Clinton and the DNC.
Clinton supporters are upset the unsealed warrant does not reveal anything new, or even probable cause against Clinton. However, the FBI could not afford to pass on taking a look into the new batch of emails.
The warrant was unsealed at the request of a California lawyer, E. Randol Schoenberg, who asked Judge P. Kevin Castel to disclose the details of the document.
Schoenberg was upset the warrant contained what he said was no probable cause.
"I see nothing at all in the search warrant application that would give rise to probable cause, nothing that would make anyone suspect that there was anything on the laptop beyond what the FBI had already searched and determined not to be evidence of a crime, nothing to suggest that there would be anything other than routine correspondence between Secretary Clinton and her longtime aide Huma Abedin,' said Schoenberg."
