Why do we allow celebrities to lie to us with impunity?

Before the election of Donald Trump as our next president, during the dark days when the media insisted that Hillary Clinton was the inevitable winner and we had all better get used to it, celebrities speculated on what they would do if Trump won. One after another, they vowed to leave the country. Well, we're waiting.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - One way to judge a person's character is to see if they keep their word. If a person says they are going to do something, what happens next? Do they follow through with integrity, or dodge their self-imposed obligation?

As it turns out, there are several self-indulged, attention-seeking "stars" who have pledged to leave the country. But how many have kept their word? Zero. That makes them liars.

Here's the list:

1. Amy Schumer
(crass and raunchy comedian) promised to move to Spain if Trump was elected.

Si? Cuando?

"It's beyond my comprehension if Trump won. It's just too crazy," she said contemplating the possibility.

2. Jon Stewart
(fake news creator) said he would go to another planet if Trump was elected.

"I would consider getting in a rocket and going to another planet, because clearly this planet's gone bonkers."

The good news is there are several rocket launches from Earth to space every week. Which one has he booked?

3. Chelsea Handler (Late night nobody) said she would go to Spain.

"I did buy a house in another country just in case, so all of these people that threaten to leave the country and then don't, I will leave the country."

Take Amy Schumer with you, por favor.

4. Neve Campbell
(minor actress) said she would move to Canada.

"His honesty is terrifying," she said.

Well, at least he's honest. On the other hand, you don't seem to be because you're still here.

5. Barry Diller
(Media mogul, homosexual) told Bloomberg, "If Donald Trump doesn't fall, I'll either move out of the country or join the resistance."

6. Lena Dunham
(supposedly a funny person?) "I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will."

Music to our ears, but we're still waiting.

7. Keegan-Michael Key (Star of Key & Peele, he really is funny, but the move isn't much for him.)

"It's easy. It's like 10 minutes from Detroit and that's where I'm from," he said in an interview with TMZ.

8. Chloë Sevigny (Allegedly an actress)

She said she'd move to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, they haven't put out the welcome mat.

9. Al Sharpton
(Racist, professional paid liar) "If Donald Trump is the nominee, I'm open to support anyone, while I'm also reserving my ticket out of here if he wins."

America thinks it would be a shame if his ticket expired.

10. Natasha Lyonne
(Actress) Said,  "To a mental hospital for a while because you're like 'why is this happening?'" well, like do you need a ride or what's keeping you?

11. Eddie Griffin
(Comedian) "He's good at making money, but he's ignorant...If Trump wins, I'm moving to Africa."

Enjoy your stay...as soon as you keep your word and leave.

12. Spike Lee (Director) If Trump wins, I'll be "moving back to the republic of Brooklyn, New York," he said.

You do realize, Mr. Lee, that Brooklyn is going to be great again, too?

13. Amber Rose (Model)
"I can't even think about it! I'm moving, I'm out! I can't. And I am taking my son with me!"

Isn't America great? You can leave if you don't like freedom.
But we're still waiting.

14. Samuel L. Jackson (Great actor) "He's just running for popularity. C'mon, just let it go," he said to the women on The View.

We're glad you were wrong.

15. Cher (Ancient singer)
Tweeted: "IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED, IM MOVING TO JUPITER >:|"

What did Jupiter do to deserve that? Well, better Jupiter than America.

16. George Lopez (Comedian) "If he wins, he won't have to worry about immigration, we'll all go back."

There's still room on the bus, George.

17. Barbra Streisand (Singer) "He has no facts. I don't know, I can't believe it. I'm either coming to your country [Australia], if you'll let me in, or Canada."

1.    They won't let you in.
2.    Here's a fact, Donald Trump won, get over it.

18. Raven-Symoné (Actress, TV host) "My confession for this election is if any Republican gets nominated, I'm going to move to Canada with my entire family. I already have my ticket," she said on The View.

What's the obsession with Canada?

Lots of Republicans won, have you even started packing yet?

19. Whoopi Goldberg (1980s vintage actress) "I don't want it to be America. Maybe it's time for me to move, you know," she said.

Or just retire?

20. Miley Cyrus "My heart is broken into a 100000 pieces...I am moving if this is my president! I don't say things I don't mean!"

Was that a threat or a promise?

Please be a promise!

21. Ruth Bader Ginsburg
(Traitor to the Republic, Supreme Court Bench Legislator)

"I can't imagine what the country would be with Donald Trump as our president... Now it's time for us to move to New Zealand."

Retire, you've earned it.
