Pope Francis heads to the White House

As Pope Francis begins to embark to the White House. Thousands of people have been camping out along his travel route for his series of parades and appearances during the day.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - "It was like a Black Friday at a department store," Christopher Hale, executive director of Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, to The Washington Post, describing the scene as people ran through the area to get a spot along the route.

Ceremonies at the White House are already underway, waiting for Pope Francis. After the outside events, Pope Francis and Obama will make their way into the White House for private meetings.

Pope Francis will become the fourth Pope to meet with a U.S. President in the United States.
