MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - According to the police, Louis Romano Bianculli admitted to his merciless crimes of sexual abuse. The young girl was routinely drugged, assaulted with needles and knives and performed improvised surgical procedures on. The old man from Lighthouse Point, Florida, was arrested and accused after the suspected six years of sexual trauma appeared in a therapy session.
Taped conversations exposed Bianculli revealing he would knock the young girl out "with sleeping pills or the primitive anesthetic chloroform and abuse her while she lay unconscious," according to the Daily Mail.
The old man would also slice his victim's belly with knives, hurt her with needles, and suck out fat from her stomach to eventually inject into her breasts.
According the police, Bianculli frightened the girl by retelling stories of how he killed people in the Vietnam War. The young girl was convinced that he would kill her too if she stopped "playing along."
According to the arrest warrant, the old man would tie the girl down with duct tape, "put a plastic bag over her head and count down how many times she would inhale before passing out."
The warrant also indicated that the victim was "brainwashed" and would follow instructions like "drop your pants" and "take off your shirt." She would submit to the depraved makeshift surgical procedures. The abuse was said to have worsened over the six years that followed.
The victim allegedly told police that she was unaware whether Bianculli also raped her while she was insentient because she was "too afraid" to ask him.
The old man could face the death penalty. He is now being held in a Fort Lauderdale jail and has been charged with multiple counts of sexual battery.
No child should have to go through such horrific and terrifying circumstances. As adults and Catholics, something needs to be done to assure that abuse like this never happens again.
