A recent American pride survey, published on June 29, 2015, revealed Virginia to be at the top of the current list of the most patriotic states in the USA. WalletHub, a consumer website, evaluated the military and civic engagement of all 50 states, included in the list, and systematically looked at other information, such as the number of registered military personnel, the population of veterans, voting percentage and as well as the volunteer rate.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Virginia, North Carolina, New Hampshire and South Carolina can be remembered as 4 out of the 13 original colonies, and these states are also included in the top 10 most patriotic states.
On the other hand, Pennsylvania and 5 of the original colonies, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey and New York, are included in the list of 10 least patriotic states. Among these, according to WalletHub's standards, New York earned its rank as the least patriotic.
Red states are a tad bit more patriotic than blue states, according to the metrics. However, two other firmly considered Democratic-leaning states are involved in the top 10, while 5 states that were firmly considered Republican in recent presidential elections were cast in the bottom 10.
With a ranking of 1 being the highest, red states garnered an average score of 24.1, while the blue states gained 26.7. As evident, the gap is noticeably small.
Alaska ranked the highest in terms of military engagement, while Minnesota gained the number 50 spot. Wisconsin ranked the highest for civic engagement, while Arkansas ranked last.
