MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - This is exactly what happened when nine brains mysteriously appeared on Beckwith Street, part of the St. Lawrence County Village, N.Y.
Residents who unfortunately found the brains immediately reported this mind-boggling event by calling the police.
Based on the recent report by WWNY TV7, the authorities called in a veterinarian to have the brains examined and, per the tests done, the specimens appear to be of canine origin. The brains, which seem to be from beagle-sized dogs, were expertly removed and preserved; most likely to be used as laboratory or medical school specimens.
A professor from the chemistry department at Clarkson University, believes otherwise. He mentioned that the examined brain looks like it came from a sheep.
Should this matter be a cause of alarm? While finding brains on the street can be both frightening and traumatic, the police assured residents to stay calm, since there are no signs of an animal killer on the loose. They also stressed that there was no criminal violations, aside from littering, the brains were deemed used for research and education.
This strange occurrence seems to be happening all across the United States; back in 2002 there were about 12 or more brain specimens reported missing in the University of Texas, Austin. Although this event stirred the imaginations of mystery loving minds, the mysterious case of the missing brains has been debunked by the fact that they have been destroyed.
What happened to all nine St. Lawrence County Village brains? Well, the authorities have decided to donate the specimens to several educational and research institutions in the county.
