FREE Catholic Classes
A 17-year-old girl, from Melbourne, Florida, was arrested after trespassing into home and hurting one of the residents. Covered in blood and broken glass from her forced entry through a window, the arrested female was reportedly behaving in an odd manner, leading the police to speculate she was under the influence of a relative new synthetic designer drug called "flakka." She slapped one of the residents before running outside the house, leaving those inside terrified over the incident.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - According to the report by Fox 35 Orlando, the arrest report states that the young woman was screaming "I am God, I am Satan!" as she charged the police officer.
An onsite officer wrote that the teenager was later tasered in order to take her into custody, although the police backed up initially. The Melbourne Police claim she displayed behavior probably induced by taking "flakka."
In a report by Forbes, this emerging drug is a synthetic amphetamine-like stimulant, similar to cathinones compound that can be found in bath salts. "Flakka" is said to provoke a behavior known as the "excited delirium," according to the Forbes.
The drug comes in crystalline-like form, taken by swallowing, snorting and injecting, as well as smoking through e-cigars and vapes.
"When anyone gets in a situation like that where they really don't know what they are doing and not thinking clearly, and becoming aggressive to police officers, it is definitely a concern for us," said Melbourne Police Department Commander Danial Lynch.
The highly addictive drug's effect can last from 3-4 hours to several days. Commander Lynch warned that "flakka" is very dangerous and should not be used for consumption.
The narcotics unit is expected to team up with other law enforcement agencies within the area to find the sources of the "superhuman"-inducing drug.
