MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - Nzinga said because of the kind of war the United States has "declared" against them, they are ready to sacrifice their lives fighting for their rights as equal members of the American society. The leader described America as only focused on "protecting the rich and the powerful."
"We pay taxes. They have declared war on us and it's nothing but state racism," he added. For many, many years, although at some point the minority groups may had achieved important things, there are still growing issues on how racism is being perpetuated in the current social setup without much attention from the government.
Nzinga explained that their declaration of war against discrimination should be considered just the same as how Americans look up to their historical icons on freedom.
"So if we say we are at war, we should be applauded like George Washington. We should be applauded like Thomas Jefferson. We should be applauded like the Founding Fathers of the country," said Hashim Nzinga, as cited by the Breitbart.
Although some of his statements provoking, the New Black Panther Party leader insists they are
not hating on anyone, rather expressing the love for their people.
"This is not the hate hour, this is the love hour. We have to love ourselves enough to be willing to die or kill to save our babies and to save a black nation that is dying before our eyes," he said.
The New Black Panther Party is not the successor of the Black Panther Party, nor are they affiliated.
