Almost 10,000 illegal aliens from terrorist-affiliated countries have entered the U.S. in 2013

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and agencies that fall within its umbrella, have apprehended roughly 9,862 aliens from 15 terrorist-linked countries that are state sponsors, safe havens, or are associated with terrorism in the 2013 fiscal year.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The largest number of these aliens came from Cuba (2,809), Venezuela (2,712) and Colombia (1,987), the newly-released DHS Office of Immigration Statistics statistics revealed.
Combat corruption with moral education; send a Bible to a child, or another person in need.
Cuba is considered a state sponsor of terrorism, and Venezuela and Colombia are both considered terrorist safe havens.
The next largest group of aliens came from Nigeria (492) which is home to the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Pakistan (334) is home to a large number of different Islamic terrorist groups including al-Qaeda and the Taliban which moved their headquarters to the country after the 2001 U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan.
Saudi Arabia (264), Iran (257), Lebanon (230), Somalia (214), Iraq (169), Sudan (168), Syria (72), Afghanistan (70), Yemen (68) and Libya (16) were also included as nations with links to terrorism and terrorist groups.
Iran has been at the top of the State Department's list of nations that sponsor terrorists for more than ten years and Syria is home to the largest and most wealthy terrorist organization in the world, the Islamic State, as well as other groups like the Al-Nusra Front.
Lebanon has the Hezbollah group, and Somalia is home to the al-Shabaab group. Iraq is also home to a significant portion of Islamic State fighters, and Yemen has a large portion of al-Qaeda.
The DHS apprehended 662,000 aliens in 2013's fiscal year, though the majority-64%-were from Mexico.
