Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
Fr. Pavone Presides over Funeral Service for Aborted Baby at National Event in Rochester
FREE Catholic Classes
"We are holding this service in full view of the public. We are not ashamed of our youngest brothers and sisters, who continue to be brutalized by abortion. We are committed to showing the world the violent atrocity of abortion. Here in New York, we are committed to showing this atrocity to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who seems to want more abortion, not less. We are grateful that his recent effort to expand abortion in New York was stopped. But that is not enough. We call on him to admit what abortion is and to call for an end to this violence against the youngest children. We need public servants who can tell the difference between serving the public and killing the public."

P>ROCHESTER, NY (Priests for Life) - Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, is presiding here this morning over a memorial service for an aborted baby. Joining pro-life leaders from around the nation associated with Operation Save America, Fr. Pavone will preach at the service this morning. His message, in part, will be as follows:
"We are holding this service in full view of the public. We are not ashamed of our youngest brothers and sisters, who continue to be brutalized by abortion. We are committed to showing the world the violent atrocity of abortion.

The child being buried was killed at about 14 weeks of development by prostaglandin abortion, which induces violent contractions. On the intact body can be seen the black bruises caused by these contractions. Participants in the service will be able to view the baby as they pray.
Fr. Pavone said, "Participating in a funeral for an aborted child is one of the most powerful ways to connect with the reality of these children, and the reality of abortion that killed them. That is why, on September 14, we will co-sponsor a national event in which memorial services will be held simultaneously at about 30 sites nationwide where aborted children are buried. See www.AbortionMemorials.com for details."
