Opponents of the Right to Life Use Judge in Wisconsin to Stop Legal Protection of Children and Women - Texas is Next

The ACLU does not recognize the civil liberties of children in the womb

Though the opponents of the Right to life used a Federal Judge in Wisconsin to strip legal protection from children and women temporarily, and even if Texas is next, they simply will not prevail. God is the defender of these children, and the protector of the mothers who know not what they do. The fundamental Human Right to life cannot be stripped away by any Court or any legislature. Our cause is just. The Right to Life will prevail.

P>MADISON, WI (Catholic Online) - On July 5, 2013, Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin signed into law legislation which requires those who perform abortions to hold hospital privileges within 30 miles of where they perform the dangerous and deadly procedure. It also required women considering an abortion to use an ultrasound procedure in order to be fully informed of the implications of the procedure.

The legislation is called Sonya's Law. It is named after a mother of two children who considered having an abortion after an unexpected pregnancy. She was concerned over the emotional and financial implications. She saw an advertisement for a free ultrasound on the side of a bus. After having the ultrasound and seeing the truth concerning the human child she housed within her, she chose to continue the pregnancy. Sonya is scheduled to deliver her third child, a little boy, later this month. She is thrilled she chose life.

The legislation was properly passed and properly signed into law by a duly elected Governor. However, that does not seem to matter to those who oppose the Right to Life of children in the womb. Planned Parenthood, the Nations largest abortion provider, announced it would have to close an abortion facility in Appleton.

Utilizing the free, tax payer funded services of the ACLU (American Civil Liberites Union), they filed a lawsuit in Federal Court seeking a temporary injunction against the law. U.S. Federal District Court Judge William M. Conley in Madison, Wisconsin, granted their request. He unilaterally halted the enforcement of the legislation, at least temporarily.

The ACLU does not recognize the civil liberties of children in the womb.

Then, there is the struggle for the Rights of children in the womb in Texas. Texas lawmakers, following the will of the people of Texas, have tried to pass legislation to ban abortions after twenty weeks. It is clearly the expressed will of the people of Texas. Such legislation is also clearly constitutional. Governor Rick Perry has promised to sign it. However, Cecile Richards and Planned Parenthood oppose it. She told local Press that "Over the past few years, more than 50 women's health centers have been shut down."

The ACLU is once again at the ready. they are like a battering ram in the hands of these cultural revolutionaries. Watch for another lawsuit when the legislation passes and is properly signed into law by the Governor.

Though the propaganda Press is reporting this struggle as a Republican/Democrat issue, it is not. It is also not a 'liberal' vs 'conservative' struggle. It is a matter of fundamental human rights. This opposition is just one more proof that the opponents of the Fundamental Human Right to life of these children will not accept any restrictions on abortion.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

They can no longer hide behind their Orwellian language. The only verbal refuge left in their despicable attempt to hide the infamy of abortion on demand is their profane reference to a counterfeit notion of a freedom to take the lives of these little children. It is often accompanied by the macabre term reproductive rights.

Killing a child and wounding a mother are certainly never reproductive, nor will they ever be a true right.

The continued use of the word choice as a mantra of the opponents of the Right to Life of the child - when we all know that some choices are always morally wrong - is exposing the veneer which once hid the evil intent of the Anti-Right to Life movement. Taking the innocent life of a neighbor is always wrong. The child in the womb is our first neighbor. We all know it. We have no right to kill them at will.

Medical science has confirmed what our consciences long ago knew - even if we hid the fact from ourselves. Those little boys and girls in the womb are all members of our human family. No-one with even a scintilla of credibility can fail to see the absolute contradiction which is revealed when we allow them to be killed at will for any reason and what we now routinely witness in every 3D or 4D ultrasound.

C'mon, we send them around to our family and friends and even use them in our media advertising campaigns. These are children who are being killed by procured abortion and we all know it.

We all know that Doctors are using this wonderful ultrasound technology to reach into the first home of the whole human race and operate on these first neighbors, placing them back in their first home so they can develop, grow and join us at birth. We all know they are members of our human family.  Every procured abortion violates our first duty of solidarity. We truly are our brother and sister's keeper.

Yet, those same technologies are the means by which some evil Doctors target the unwanted little boy or little girl for dismemberment, or suction, or chemical burn - all of which lead to his or her death. We do not want to see those photos. They reveal the first and worst example of an unjustifiable war on the womb, a first preemptive strike of sorts.

This child being intentionally killed in every procured abortion has done nothing to cause us to fearhim or her. Neither has he or she done anything which could ever ever justify this evil act of intentionally killing him or her.

We are all aware that when a mother is killed in the commission of a crime, or as a result of negligence in the civil law, and that same act kills the child in the womb, we recognize that there are two people who are victims. We prosecute accordingly, as we should.

In January of this year I marched in Washington, DC at the March for Life. I stood at the side of a long time friend and one of the great heroes of this human rights movement, Fr Frank Pavone. What impressed me most was not the massive size of the crowd, but the median age of the crowd. The movement to protect the Right to life of our youngest neighbors is winning the hearts and minds of this Nation and the young are taking up this just cause.

Our task of defending the Right to Life stretches out before us. The news is often disheartening. However, our cause is true and just. We have a sacred duty to engage it. It will require every ounce of energy we have. It is just when we run out of our own energy that the energy of the Living God begins to flow most freely - in and through us. That is what is called grace.

During that cold March for Life in January, with my heart set on fire by the witness of all of those young men and women kept me warm, I repeatedly thought of words from one of my favorite poems. It was written by G.K. Chesterton and is taken from the Ballad of the White Horse:

The men of the East may spell the stars,
And times and triumphs mark,
But the men signed of the cross of Christ
Go gaily in the dark.

"The men of the East may search the scrolls
For sure fates and fame,
But the men that drink the blood of God
Go singing to their shame.
