WASHINGTON, D.C. (CNS) - Robert Novak, one of the nation's most influential reporters and conservatives, passed away today, August 18, 2009.
In an interview that he did with Barbara Matusow that was published in the November 2008 issue of the Washingtonian Magazine, Novak reflected on his career.
The Washington Post, which carried the "Evans-Novak" syndicated column for many years, published a lengthy obituary of Robert D. Novak today, by staff writer Adam Bernstein, posted here.
The Chicago Sun-Times, the home-newspaper to Robert Novak's syndicated column, described him as "among the best this country has produced" in terms of journalists, and "an example of how to practice our profession."
