NEW YORK, NY (Catholic Online) - Senator Hillary Clinton of New York, who, even after her opponent received the requisite number of delegates to make her path to the Democratic nomination impossible refused to concede, has indicated that she will suspend her Presidential campaign on Friday.

The news was first broken by the New York Times.

Clinton will endorse her former rival, Senator Barack Obama on Fridayor Saturday.

According to the Times, all day on Wednesday, Democratic members of Congress urged Mrs. Clinton to suspend her campaign. In particular, the New York delegation worked tirelessly to promote her deicion to suspend the campaign and endorse her rival.

The speech which the candidate gave following her victory in South Dakota was anything but a concession speech. A seemingly buoyant Clinton was unwilling to end her quest for the nomination.

She inspired her enthusiastic supporters and asked them to make their opinion known to her through her website on how to continue.

However, she has now decided that in order to help the Party rally around the Presumptive nominee, Senator Barack Obama, she will now suspend her campaign.

Though it is unclear where the announcement will be made, it will likely be in New York.
