LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - U.S. special forces will remain on high alert as Trump takes his place as the 45th President of the United States on Friday, January 20, 2017 - or what ISIS has named "Bloody Friday."
Security analysts believe ISIS will attempt to attack but thus far, larger-scale attacks have yet to be successful in the United States since 9/11.
ISIS recalled a prophecy in which a holy war will begin between forces of "Rome" on a field near northern Syria.
According to the prophesy, the battle will occur outside Dabiq and many of Mohammad's followers will fall - but those who live will see triumph over their enemy.
In the face of past failures, ISIS has been holding tightly to the prophesy, hoping it will make all the difference in the upcoming war.
Trump was asked on Fox News if he would declare war with ISIS after their last attack in France, to which he responded, "I would. This is war. If you look at it, this is war."
Once he is President of the United States, it is important to note he is unable to declare war as the Constitution limits the President's power. Only Congress can declare war - which it has officially refused to do since the U.S. began bombing ISIS targets in 2014.
Current President Barack Obama has been the leading authority on strikes as Congress continues to sit back and do nothing.
ISIS is slowly being overtaken by its many enemies but U.S.-led air strikes and ground units have had their hands tied and are unable to wipe ISIS off the map as of yet.
Should Congress, under Trump, declare war on ISIS, U.S. air power will likely move to the front lines to help on a significantly larger scale, resulting in the extinguish of ISIS at a rapid rate.
Thursday night, Trump acknowledged ISIS leaders may die but its many followers will likely continue to fight to the bitter end, thus necessitating the eradication of the extremist faith entirely.
"It only takes one or two people," he told Fox, "to create havoc."
