Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to Daily Mail, an unknown source told state-run news agency SANA, "employees and executives of the Al-Badia cement factory" were abducted after residents reported missing workers from the plant since Monday.

SANA reported, "The company has informed the industry ministry that it hasn't been able to make contact with kidnapped individuals."

Family members of the abducted workers shared they haven't been able to contact their loved ones since noon on Monday after ISIS attacked the factory. An unnamed source added, "We have no information about where they are."

The Syrian state's military announced ISIS has executed nearly two-thirds of the cement workers for unknown reasons.

Recently, ISIS fighters have been particularly active near Syrian capitol Damascus.

The extremist group has been losing ground to Kurdish forces in the North and has become desperate to overtake more territory.

Recent air strikes and ground battles have killed an undetermined number of ISIS militants but news of successful missions indicate the war is well on its way to being won.

As the fight continues, ISIS' numbers continue to dwindle.
