FREE Catholic Classes
Russia claimed to have launched successful attacks against rebel camps in Syria, as other countries in the West continue to criticize the intervention. U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron recently gave his stand, joining critics who say Moscow committed a "grave mistake." Russia remains firm on their stand and has intensified their bombings against ISIS with more than 20 missions.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The Russian Defense Ministry said ten Islamic State positions in Syria have been attacked since Sunday, including training camps.
The Defense Ministry wrote on its website: Russian strikes broke "the management and logistics of the terrorist organization," causing "significant damage to the infrastructure used for preparation of terrorist attacks."
The Russian military's entry into Syria's civil war last week in support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad angered America, Europe and the Middle East, where leaders have been accusing Moscow of targeting Western-supported rebel forces opposed to Assad and the Islamic State.United States President Barack Obama said Russia will get "stuck in a quagmire" if it continues to use military force to support Assad's government.
Obama said Assad is "a brutal, ruthless dictator" who needs to be removed from his position.Russian and U.S. military officials began discussing Syrian operations last week to avoid a confrontation in the sky. A U.S.-led coalition of 65 countries has conducted over 7,000 airstrikes against Islamic State targets in Iraq and Syria in the past twelve months.
Cameron said that through Russian direct entry and military intervention, they are supporting the "butcher Assad" which is a grave mistake for them and the world. "It's going to make the region more unstable, which will lead to further radicalization and increased terrorism," added the British PM on BBC's Andrew Marr Show.
"I would say to them change direction, join us in attacking ISIL but recognize that if we want to have a secure region we need an alternative to Assad," Cameron continued. Assad "can't unite the Syrian people." He also repeated his intent to extend the British airstrikes on ISIS in Iraq to Syria, which requires the parliament's approval.
The British PM announced increasing the Special Forces' funding to combat terrorism and doubling the drone fleet.
Report added that France, Saudi Arabia, U.S. and 4 other nations condemned Russian airstrikes through a joint statement on Friday. U.S. President Barack Obama said that al-Assad is "a brutal, ruthless dictator" who needed to be ousted through a political resolution while America remains firm about fighting ISIS terrorists.
Through its website, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed they have broken "the management and logistics of the terrorist organization", causing "significant damage to the infrastructure used for preparation of terrorist attacks."
Cameron's Defense Secretary, Michael Fallon, said, "ISIL recognizes no borders and has to be taken on wherever it roots. So we should not leave it to French, Australian, or American aircraft to keep our own streets safe. Nor should anybody, including Russia, prop up the tyrant, rather than tackle the terror. Syria deserves to be free of both ISIL and Assad."
