Al-Qaeda, 'lone wolf,' ISIS? Who was really responsible for the devastating terrorist attacks in Paris?: Al-Qaeda takes credit in new online video
FREE Catholic Classes
A week after the terrorist attacks in Paris, speculation of who was in charge of the attacks continues. One possible theory is the three terrorists, all killed last week, were "lone wolf" terrorists acting on their own accord based on an agreed ideology.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Now Yemen's Al-Qaeda branch is taking credit for the attack on Charlie Hebdo. Nasr al-Ansi, a commander of Al-Qaeda in the Arabia Peninsula (AQAP), appears in an online video, describing last weeks massacre as in 'vengeance of the prophet.'
Amedy Coulibaly's, now known as part of ISIL, part in the terrorism attacks was only a coincidence, according to al-Ansi. Coulibaly shot a French police officer, and held killed four hostages in a Kosher market.

Al-Ansi continues on to mock the demonstrations against terrorism and for free speech in France as belonging to the "party of Satan."
"Look at how they gathered, rallied and supported each other; strengthening their weakness and dressing their wounds, that will not heal," he said.
He warns the Western nations against allowing anymore "distasteful" depictions of the Prophet Mohammed, explaining there would be more "tragedies and terror" if we do not abide.
Charlie Hebdo has already released their next issue, featuring a weeping Mohammed holding a "Je Suis Charlie" sign with the caption "All is forgiven." The magazine increased this issues print run to five million copies; it still sold out within hours of its release.

According to Dr. Andread Krieg, terrorist groups, especially Al-Qaeda, use attacks like the one in Paris to justify their existence. "If the franchise and brand of Al Qaeda wants to survive it needs some shocking terror attacks to its name. Unlike ISIS Al Qaeda believes in a global jihad, namely bringing the jihad to the streets of Europe and the U.S."
Regardless of al-Ansi's video, US intelligence officials have no evidence AQAP ordered the attack or even knew about it prior to it happening.
