 La Santa Sede y el Consejo Mundial de las Iglesias â€"institucion que reune a las principales iglesias y comunidades protestantes, asi como a las iglesias anglicanas y algunas ortodoxasâ€" mantuvieron su encuentro anual del 10 al 11 de enero en el Vaticano.

VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - La reunion corrio a cargo del Consejo Pontificio para el Dialogo Interreligioso y de la Oficina de Dialogo y Cooperacion Interreligiosos del Consejo Mundial de las Iglesias.

En el encuentro, "como es habitual, intercambiaron noticias y opiniones sobre diversas actividades emprendidas por las respectivas instituciones en el ultimo ano y compartieron mutuamente los programas planificados en el ano en curso", se afirma en el comunicado de prensa difundido por la Sala de Prensa del Vaticano.

"Un aspecto importante de la reunion fue la actualizacion del documento titulado Educacion para la paz en un mundo multirreligioso, el ultimo proyecto conjunto entre las dos instituciones".

Ademas, tuvo lugar un intercambio de ideas y se expuso un plan para poder emprender proyectos conjuntos en el futuro.

Ambas instituciones, que colaboran desde 1977, "han realizado, hasta el momento, algunos proyectos interreligiosos comunes: La Oracion Interreligiosa (1994), La reflexion sobre el matrimonio interreligioso (1997) y El Testimonio Cristiano en un Mundo Multirreligioso: Recomendaciones para la conducta (2011)"

El comunicado finaliza senalando que "mientras manifiestan su alegria por la creciente colaboracion mutua entre las dos instituciones a lo largo de los anos, ambas delegaciones reiteraron su deseo de continuar su compromiso comun, ecuménicamente, al servicio del dialogo interreligioso".
