VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - Se trata del Arzobispo Metropolitano de Accra (Ghana), Mons. John Bonaventure Kwofie, C.S.Sp.; y del Obispo de Daet (Filipinas), P. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon.

El nuevo Arzobispo Metropolitano de Accra (Ghana), Mons. John Bonaventure Kwofie, era desde 2014 Obispo de Sekondi " Takoradi (Ghana).

Mons. Kwofie nacio el 26 de abril de 1958 en Apowa (Ghana). En 1987 hizo sus votos religiosos en la Congregacion del Espíritu Santo y recibio la ordenacion sacerdotal en 1988. Estudio en el Pontificio Instituto Bíblico de Roma de 1991 a 1995 y fue ordenado Obispo el 13 de septiembre de 2014 en la sede Sekondi " Takorandi.

El nuevo Obispo de Daet (Filipinas), P. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon, del clero de la Arquidiocesis de Caceres, era superintendente de las escuelas parroquiales de la Arquidiocesis. Nacio el 6 de agosto de 1970 y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1996.

Estudio Teología en la Universidad de Santo Tomas en Manila y obtuvo la licenciatura en Historia de la Iglesia en la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana de Roma.

Al volver a Filipinas fue profesor en el Seminario del Santo Rosario. Desde 2013 fue portavoz de la Arquidiocesis y desde 2016 Presidente de la Asociacion Educativa Catolica de Filipinas.
