Vatican City, (CNA/EWTN News) - "Think well about this: there is no difficulty in life that it is not possible to overcome," the pope told the children, who came from the Wroclaw Cancer Center in Poland.
"The victory is different for each person: everyone prevails in his own way, but always, to prevail is the ideal, it is the horizon to go toward. Do not be discouraged."
Pope Francis greeted the children and reminded them that they have many friends to help them through life's journey, including their guardian angels.
"To each of us the Lord has given a guardian angel, from when we are young until we are old," the pope told the children.
"The Lord has given him to help us in life. Each of you has your own. Get in the habit of speaking with your angel, to protect you, to inspire you and to lead you to always prevail in life."
The pope also thanked those accompanying the children for taking care of them and helping them to grow.
The pope ended the meeting by praying the Hail Mary with them in Polish, and blessing the children.
