LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - A boy in England was being raised as a girl until it came to the attention of his Catholic schoolteachers. However, when those teachers alerted authorities, they refused to act out of concern of provoking backlash from transgender advocates. Now a court judge has intervened, praising the "common sense" of the boy's teachers.

The boy and his mother have not been identified to the public. However, it is known that the mother, who had custody of her son as a result of divorce, was making the boy wear nail varnish and dresses.

When the boy was subsequently identified as a girl at school to a visiting teacher, he stood and replied, "I'm a boy."

The comment sparked an investigation by the school who then reported the matter to authorities.

However, child protection authorities did not intervene, fearing that the case could become public and spark backlash from transgender advocates.

The judge, Mr. Justice Hayden, said the authorities "lacked common sense" when investigating and declining to take action.

The boy's mother dismissed the school's concern, saying "They were Roman Catholics." The judge blasted her cavalier response as "rather crass cultural and religious stereotyping." He pointed out that sensitivity to transgender issues discouraged several officials from applying their training and intervening on behalf of the child.

The judge then awarded custody of the child to the father.

According to the court, the child now shows an interest in masculine toys and activities including "football stickers" and "Power Rangers." The court noted the father does not share these interests, so it is likely they developed normally and independently. (*95* -5;4*06- -4?(-4

The judge concluded that the mother in the case was doing significant emotional harm to her son, as a result of a "developed belief structure which she has imposed upon her child."

Young children often have little appreciation for sex and sexuality. Their concerns are often playful. However, adults who wish to validate their sexual choices often attempt to impose their attitudes upon others. It's an attempt to normalize their own behavior. Exposing children to issues such as sex at such a young age can do harm to the child.

Pope Francis has called on all Catholics to reject the lies of sexual relativism. AT least in one school, the teachers listened and saved a child from a difficult life.
