Clinton looked other way as Apple made off with $55bn in profits.

The European Union has found Apple dodged taxes and owes billions in back taxes. Our sources say the massive tax heist took place under the watch of Hillary Clinton.

LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - The European Union has ordered Apple to pay over $14.5 billion in back taxes. Apple has vowed to fight the ruling and is threatening to cut jobs in retaliation.

According to the European Union's courts, in 2011 Apple generated $55 billion in revenue but paid just $22 million in taxes, far below what was required. Incidentally, this happened under the watch of Hillary Clinton.

As head of the State Department, Clinton would be responsible for the behavior of an American business that is effectively defrauding our closest allies overseas. So what did Clinton do to stop this crime?

Nothing.

And as of this morning, she has not made any comment on the issue. Neither has President Obama. These advocates for the people are strangely silent.

What is being heard is Apple's response to the EU. Apple is appealing the decision, but if it holds, which it likely will, Apple says it will pull jobs out of Europe. In other words, you can have either taxes or jobs, but not both.

What Apple has done is a serious problem. We may protest the high taxes we are all forced to pay, but this is the deal we make, particularly when we start businesses. If we are opposed to a tax scheme, we are without our rights to protest it, to lobby and to vote against it. However, when you make $55 billion and have nearly $200 billion in cash reserves, but pay only $22 million in taxes, there is a problem. Even an 19th century robber baron would blanche at such a brazen attempt to skip taxes.

From a Catholic perspective, the taxes are cheating the Irish people of their due. The taxes amount to over $2,400 per person which would be enough to pay for the healthcare of every Irish citizen for one year. Why not give the Irish people a tax break?

Hillary Clinton was the official watchdog at the time this crime occurred, and she is responsible. $55 billion in sales is too large a figure to fly under the radar of any state's affairs.

If Clinton did nothing to stop the greatest tax heist in history, what is there to say she will stop similar things from happening while president? She has already been criticized for her too-close ties to Wall Street. Will all America be for sale? Will American jobs and money go overseas as she looks the other way?

Apple has abdicated its responsibility to the people of Ireland and the EU. And Hillary Clinton has abdicated hers as Secretary of State. We cannot trust her to do any different as president.
