Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
ISIS fighters caught crossing border disguised as refugees

Five ISIS fighters were seized as they attempted to cross the Bulgarian-Macedonian border with gruesome videos and ISIS propaganda on their phones. The terrorist suspects assumed the identities of refugees.
MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - It was reported that the men were detained by Bulgarian authorities near the Gyushevo border. The men, aged somewhere between 20 and 24, were stopped by a border guard, who they even tried to bribe with a "wad of dollars."
Despite their poor attempt to pass by, the men were searched and ISIS propaganda, particularly Jihadist prayers and decapitation videos, were found on their phones. The men chose to cross in a wooded area and took a car from an accomplice who had crossed legally from Macedonia.
The Bulgarian State Agency for National Security or DANS has taken matters into its own hands, leading the investigation under the serious supervision of the regional prosecutor's office in Kyustendil.
Bulgaria recently completed a 15-foot high razor wire clad fence along its south-eastern border with Turkey to control the mass movement of migrants from the Middle East and Asia into Europe. However, the Gyueshevo border checkpoint where the men chose to cross is located on Bulgaria's western border with Macedonia. The men most likely decided to enter from that location to strategically avoid the new strict border controls on the other side of the country.
Following the recent efforts of a terror attack on an Amsterdam-Paris train, European governments have considered revising the Schengen border code that removed systematic border controls across most of Europe.
"When ISIS say they want to flood our continent with half a million Islamic extremists they mean it, and there is nothing in this document [Common European Asylum Policy] that will stop them," stated UKIP leader Nigel Farage. "I fear we face a direct threat to our civilization if we allow large numbers of people from that war torn region into Europe."
