LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Fathers Alejo Nabor Jiménez Juárez and José Alfredo Suárez de la Cruz were discovered in a field September 19. Since then, one other priest has been reported missing.

Unfortunately, his body was discovered on the side of a highway in western Mexico only days after his abduction.

According to CBS, Rev. Jose Alfredo Lopez Guillen was abducted from his parish residence.

He was kidnapped the same day Fathers Juárez and de la Cruz's bodies were discovered.

Father Guillen is the third priests to be murdered in the last week, with the Michoacan prosecutor's office reporting an autopsy revealed he was killed five days before his body was discovered.

His vehicle was discovered wrecked on Tuesday and on Sunday, the Archdiocese of Merlia reported Guillen's death via social media accounts.

A statement released by the archdiocese said: "We lament these violent acts and the insecurity in our state. We hope that authorities solve this crime."

Guillen was last seen Monday night when he ordered enough food for four people, which arrived at 9:30 pm at the church. He also sent a message to a woman who cooked for him to say she would not be required to cook the next night.

On Tuesday, his secretary did not see him and assumed he was with family but when he failed to appear on Wednesday his brothers discovered his home locked shut but signs of a struggle were evident and two vehicles were missing.

The statement explained there was no demand for a ransom, he was just shot and left on the side of the highway.

Heavenly Father,
I recommend to Thee the souls of Fathers Alejo Nabor Jiménez Juárez, José Alfredo Suárez de la Cruz, Jose Alfredo Lopez Guillen and the other slain priests,
I recommend to Thee the souls of those who were most devout to the passion of Our Lord,
to the Blessed Sacrament,
to the Blessed Virgin Mary,
the souls who sought you,
and those who suffered.
Amen.
