On Monday, ten Al-Shabaab militants attempted to murder Christians on a bus in northern Kenya. In an amazing act of selflessness, the Muslims on board offered Christians Islamic clothing and refused to distinguish one group from the other.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Al-Shabaab is an Al Qaeda ally in east Africa. It has been targeting Christians in recent years so it came as no surprise that the group attacked the bus.
According to Reuters, Muslim passenger Abdi Mohamud Abdi said terrorists sprayed the bus with bullets, which resulted in the death of two people.
"We even gave some non-Muslims our religious attire to wear in the bus so that they would not be identified easily. We stuck together tightly. The militants threatened to shoot us but we still refused and protected our brothers and sisters. Finally they gave up and left but warned that they would be back."
God must have had His hand in the matter, as Al-Shabaab has been known to kill both Muslims and non-Muslims in the past.
Deputy commissioner Julius Otieno confirmed Abdi's story, saying the militants, "were trying to identify who were Muslims and who were not."
Al-Shabaab's military spokesman, Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab, said the militants fired and did kill passengers."Some of the Christian enemies died and others were injured," he told Reuters. The militants did not respond to a request for further comment on the Muslim passengers' behavior.
Kenya Police spokesman Charles Owino said buses from Mandera are given police escorts, but the bus that was attacked had bypassed a police roadblock and was therefore unable to receive the escort.
Owino did confirm the two deaths and added that four people were wounded in the initial attack.
Al-Shabaab stated it will continue to attack until Nairobi withdraws troops from an African Union force fighting militants in Somalia.
