ALGIERS, ALGERIA (Catholic Online) - The strategy carried out stumbled over the increasing number of fighters who claim the return of their leader, who remains behind bars.

The growing number of Islamists is far from a coincidence; it is the result of a well organization that took place just after the dissolution of their blacklisted party. A great number of fighters have decided to continue the fight against the Egyptian regime seen as an "evil."

The locality of Derna in Libya used to be the preferred stronghold to prepare for direct war. The trainers are well formed in Syria and most of them are Libyans. More than three training camps continue to exist and act as a home to the newly recruited fighters who decide to maintain the jihad.

In this framework, 13 people, belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood and presented as members of an "extremist group," were arrested. The group is suspected of having planned an attack on the outskirts of the Suez Canal.

The Egyptian Ministry of the Interior announced on Sunday, July 5, 2015, the arrest of 13 Muslim Brotherhood suspected of being the perpetrators of an attack on the outskirts of the Suez Canal. Those arrested placed explosive devices, including electrical, on beaches, according to security sources. Among them is an employee of the Suez Canal.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a movement that has been classified by the government of al-Sissi as a "terrorist" organization since December 2012. Since the removal of the President from the Islamic brotherhood in July 2013, Egypt has waged against his supporters with a bloody crackdown, where more than 1,400 people were killed - mostly Islamist protesters. The authorities continue to raise the tone towards the Muslim Brotherhood.
