Libyan rebels say they have surrounded Muammar Gaddafi and it is now only a matter of time before they kill or capture him. According to their spokesman, Anis Sharif, "He can't get out." He is supposedly surrounded in a 60 km area of Libya.

TRIPOLI, LYBIA (Catholic Online) - Libyan rebels have made several notorious claims that Gaddafi was near capture before, or that one of his sons had been killed, but none of those predictions have proved true. This time, however, they say it is different.
Sharif explained that Gaddafi has been tracked using human intelligence information, and that he is trying to flee south in a convoy of about 10 vehicles and using a tent for shelter.
Several convoys have left Libya in the past week, evidence that the former dictator's die-hard supporters are dispersing and leaving the country to the rebels. Just over a week ago, Gaddafi's family crossed into Algeria and within the past few days several convoys have been seen heading across the Sahara in an attempt to find refuge in Niger or Chad.
Meanwhile, the National Transitional Council continues to prepare its forces for a final assault on one of Gaddafi's last strongholds, the town of Bani Walid. Troops have been seen concentrating along with assault vehicles intended to support an attack. A makeshift hospital has been established and several doctors have arrived, presumably to handle the expected casualties. Recent attempts to coax the town into surrender have failed.
The reason for Bani Walid's defiance in the face of overwhelming odds is thought to be because at least one of Gaddafi's sons is in the town with loyalist troops. Reporters said Saif al-Islam, was seen trying to rallying his father's supporters on Tuesday.
While Gaddafi may or may not be close to capture, one thing is certain, the NTC has a lot of fighting and work to do before the country is stable again. In the interim, many people are asking, are they up tp the challenge and do they have a plan for this wartorn Nation which offers the Libyan people the hope they deserve?
