LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The twins were born in the Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. It is unknown whether their parents were aware of their unusual growth prior to the birth.

Health officials refuse to release any news concerning the conjoined twins, even refusing to disclose their sex, but did confirm their mother is in stable condition.

The Central European News (CEN) reported a video of the twins was posted to YouTube, revealing a single body and two distinctly separate heads.

The video, posted on January 6, revealed the babies were crying and wearing oxygen tubes around their tiny faces.

The babies are certainly not the first case of two babies sharing a single body. Conjoined twins are genetically identical, develop from the same egg and usually share the same organs or limbs.

Abby and Brittany Hensel, born in the United States, were also born with two heads and one body. Interestingly, in their case, they have two hearts, two sets of lungs and separate brains. One is able to control one side of the body while the other controls hers.

The Hensel twins are in their twenties and, though they have entirely different personalities, are able to function together.

Whether the Mexican mystery twins will also have the rare ability to control each side of their body remains to be seen.

Until more news is available, please pray for health, grace and blessings for the twins and their family.
