LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The baby, born in Spain, made its miraculous entrance into the world while sill inside its fully intact amniotic sac.
The amniotic sac is typically ruptured during the birthing process and often referred to as a woman's "water breaking," but in the case of this newborn, it was born shortly after its twin, resting within the sac.
Millions of people have now viewed video footage of this phenomenon, "something estimated to occur in one in every 80,000 births," according to the Daily Mail.
The video features the newborn curled up in a ball, lying on the hospital table with the clear sac tightly wrapped around its body. Everything is clearly visible through the sac, including the umbilical cord and the newborn's movements.
Another baby was born in the same circumstances earlier this year, also in Spain. That birth went viral with more than 26 million people viewing the birth video.
These births are especially wonderful because they provide us a glimpse into God's wonderful creation of human life.
