We ask you, urgently: don't scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >
Top 4 ways to serve God
FREE Catholic Classes
We look at our fellow Christians doing missionary work abroad and wish we could impact people's lives as greatly. Well, God is everywhere and His children are all around us - we can serve without even leaving the country. The best service is rooted at home, in giving birth to more Christians in simple ways.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - In a Crosswalk.com editorial post, they acknowledged the fact that being out of the country serving God is giving others inspiration, yet, there are some everyday tasks we can do to follow and spread the Good News among our community members. Here are four ways to serve God's purpose in our lives:
1. Build good relationships with the people around you
There are people around us, some of them actually need to hear the Gospel but unfortunately we ignore the opportunities due to the daily interaction. We are all children of God and Christ was our savior. Talk to people, make friends and form good Christian relationships with everyone around you. It is an opportunity to be in service to the Lord and to humanity.
"The entire law is summed up in a single command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Galatians 5:14)
2. Offer your hand and be forgiving
Good relationships aren't enough, you must be put into action the words of God. Help people without forcing them to ask you to. Be generous in all aspects of your life, meaning financially, your love, your patience and more. Open your home like God opens His.
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" (Matthew 25:40)
3. Understand His words
You've read the Bible, or parts of it, but did you understand?
Thirst for God's wisdom to be yours and share them through simple conversations or better, put them into action in the form of good deeds. Despite the demands of every day living, take time to study the Scriptures.
"How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver!" (Proverbs 16:16)
4. Worship
Never ever forget to worship each day - it is one of our most important tasks as Christians.
Spend time thanking God for his wonderful creations and the people around you. Practicing and professing faith should be done through personal initiatives through Christ, which can be thoroughly accomplished if we are deeply bonded.
"Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:24-25)
May we all be blessed!
