Paul Moore realized there was no time to be depressed.

Paul Moore was diagnosed with kidney cancer and 40 tumors were found in his body, with some in his skull, yet the 36-year-old husband and father of two believes he is one of the luckiest men on Earth. His faith in God made him realize he has no time to waste on depression but plans for the afterlife in heaven, believing that one day he and his family will have a reunion with Him there. With their positive acceptance of the news, they hope to bring others with the same struggle hope and time with their loved ones.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Paul was diagnosed in February and has since received radiation therapy, had several surgeries including the removal of a kidney and having a hip replacement and he now must walk with the aid of a cane.

In August, Paul was told he only had a few more months to live but rather than feeling anger about the diagnosis, Paul wanted to live life to the fullest. He advised people to stop wasting time on negative thoughts and "start driving in the slow lane," which he said he is doing now.

Despite his physical limitations, Paul continues to live life to the best of his ability with his wife Joni and two daughters, 5-year-old Ellie and 3-year-old Reese.

His faith in God made him realize he has no time to waste on depression and he knows his family will rejoin him in heaven. With their positive attitude after accepting the news, the family hopes to bring others with the same struggle hope and awareness of the importance of time with their loved ones.

"I've learned the depression doesn't get me anywhere. I consider myself one of the luckiest guys on Earth. What a blessing to have time to prepare, even to mentally prepare to see what I will see and to be worthy of the other side," said Paul in an interview with Jason F. Wright of Fox News.
The only thing that concerned him was the memories he wanted to leave his daughters, both of whom fall on the autistic spectrum.

Paul wrote letters and made videos for his girls to read and watch so they could remember him after he passes. He continues to pray and hopes that his positivity will infect others.

To help the Moores -and others in the same situation- family and neighbors set up the Paul Moore Foundation. The goal of the foundation is to ease the financial strain families feel when dealing with multiple doctor visits, surgeries, therapies and the loss of income.

The foundation's About Us section has a tab dedicated to Paul Moore, where it reads:

"Our hearts have literally ached as we've watched the Moore's go through this journey, but we have also felt uplifted by Paul and Joni's deep-rooted optimism. Their unwillingness to give up the fight has been a source of strength for every one of us. They have set an indelible example as they fill each precious day with love and gratitude. It is Paul and Joni's infectious positivity that inspired what has now become The Paul Moore Foundation."
