Geraldine Jones created elaborate scheme to kidnap woman's baby and claim it as her own.

Horrific reports have come out that a woman, claiming to be a social worker, went to an apartment in Indiana where a newly-born child and her mother resided, with means to take the baby away. However, the woman was found to have never even worked in the child-welfare agency, but only posed as a worker in order to enact her plans of abducting the baby and claiming it as her own.

We ask you, humbly: don't scroll away.

Geraldine R. Jones, 36, the crazed woman, visited the apartment of Samantha Fleming, 23, and her 17-day-old baby Serenity lived disguised as a worker with the Department of Child Services.

Police are seeking answers as to why Jones, now depressed and suicidal, specifically targeted Fleming, as she had refused to give any statement regarding her crimes.

Sgt. Chad Boynton of the Anderson Police explained they are still confused as to why she would pose as a social worker, and stated that Fleming had a contact with the agency but was unavailable on Tuesday.

Jones visited Fleming and her boyfriend, Rainey Stanley, to tell her that she needed to go for a hearing and it would be better to bring the baby with her, according to the Daily Mail.

Stanley said that it was the last time he saw the girlfriend and the baby.

When Fleming and her baby didn't return, the police kept track of her cellphone that, according to the affidavit, had sent messages to Fleming's mother that were suspected as not coming from her because of the "perfect spellings."

After locating Jones' home address, police entered the house and found a woman, identified as Jones' sister, holding a baby.

Fleming's body was found inside a closet in Jones' residence, bleached and wrapped inside a garbage bag with ten stab wounds
