Don't jump into marriage, take your time and ask yourself if you can do these things.

Marriage is a wonderful thing that binds two people together, for better or for worse. Before taking your relationship to the next level, thanks to Crosswalk.com, here are a few factors you should think about and consider before getting married.

span style="line-height: 15.8599996566772px;">MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - As you know, marriage is a full-time commitment that should be held onto forever. Take into mind that being married to your partner means accepting the worse that has yet to come, be it illness, unemployment, or bankruptcy.

Talk to your partner about certain issues that you both might encounter, and figure out if you both can handle these problematic situations and be able to work together in solving these problems.

Discuss that divorce is not an option. Whether you have disagreements on certain issues or not, somebody has to compromise and not be prideful. Holding onto God for strength is also helpful.

Discuss money issues together with your partner. You and your partner should be fully open to one another in informing each other about one's finances. Talk about how you will earn, save, and spend your money, and how to keep a budget when you start to build your family.
Keep a rosary always within your reach. Find the perfect rosaries for home, work and parish.

For a relationship to be solid as a rock, honesty is one of the most important factors.

Talk to your partner and tell each other about your past relationships and anything important your partner needs to know, be it a bad experience or not. What is necessary is that you both are willing to forgive one another for the mistakes that were committed in the past. After all, you should not be dwelling in the past, since you are going to build your future and your life anew together.

Check whether you are compatible with your partner or not. Know each others likes, dislikes, personality, and behavior towards others and figure out if you want to be with this person for the rest of your life. Knowing beforehand if you are compatible saves you from having problems later on in your marriage.

Lastly, keep in mind that you and your partner should be willing to listen to, love, care for, and respect each other and each others loved ones and families too.

For marriage to work out, it is important that you both make sacrifices to make a relationship work, no matter what the trials are that come your way.
