LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Tami Martin endured a life-changing car accident in October 1999. The accident crushed her spine between two of her lumbar vertebrae, leaving her paralyzed.
After the accident, Martin began to gain a large amount of weight while going through intensive physical therapy.

Determined and motivated to overcome this disability, Martin lost a remarkable 192 pounds after undergoing a weight loss procedure. Losing the weight was the final push Martin needed to get her life back.
With a walker tucked under her wedding dress, Martin made the extraordinary, 63-foot journey down the aisle to her waiting groom, Rob Dietrich.
