Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. A Marriage Built on a Firm Rock

Frances already had an immensely positive experience with marriage when she came to CatholicMatch. A widow, she had great memories of her years with her late husband and if another marriage was to happen it would have to be on a firm foundation. I had a wonderful marriage for more than 40 years, she recalled.

The 78-year-old Frances lives in the Tampa Bay area and it was through watching EWTN one evening that she heard about CatholicMatch.
She was not new to online dating, nor to religion-specific sites. Frances sad she was on Christian Mingle before, but and it was not a good experience, and there were no connections.

"Since I had a wonderful marriage I didn't want to stray from my faith, said Frances.
Even though previous experiences had not panned out for her, she was willing to give CatholicMatch a try.
Ed is four years older than Frances and also lives in the Tampa area. He was widowed three years ago and heard about CatholicMatch through his parish bulletin, where he is an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist.
It was Ed who had made first contact with Frances. After some early correspondence, he made sure he thoroughly did his homework on the woman who had caught his interest.
He knew where my parish was and checked online for the layout, Frances said. He made the suggestion we go to Mass together. I thought it was perfect. Frances sings in the choir at her own church, so while she and Ed didn't sit together during Mass, they got together afterward.
Ed and Frances had a natural chemistry together, and they were on a good foundation of shared values. Hes a gentleman, Frances said with admiration. Whats most outstanding is that hes strong in his faith.
Frances, who is originally from New England, with a little bit of the accent to prove it, recently made a trip to New Hampshire. Upon her return, Ed picked her up at the Tampa Airport, with two things: a question and a ring. She accepted, and today Ed and Frances are happily married and enjoying life together.
