LOS ANGELES, CA (California Network) - Catholic Online School has surpassed the 250,000 student enrollment milestone. Students from 94.5 percent of the world, or 184 countries, are taking courses in Catholic Online School. The number of students taking courses increases by the hour, every day, seven days a week.
At the current rate of growth, the school may see half-a-million student enrollments by the end of 2020, and could be teaching one million or more by late 2021.
In the past several months, Catholic Online School has seen the number of countries where donors live rise from 95 to 131. Now Catholic Online School teaches students from 184 different countries, up from 168. This means the school is being used in countries where Catholic education is restricted, discouraged, or even outlawed. All students need is an internet connection and a smart device, such as a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Catholic Online School now teaches students from 184 countries around the globe.
Catholic Online School's mission is to provide a free, world class Catholic education for anyone, anywhere.
The school is offering a growing number of courses on Catholic catechism. Complete catechism courses for grades 1-8 are in full production. Once complete, each grade will have between 100 and 200 catechism lessons. Grade 1 will be completed first.
Other informative courses include the saints, prayer, and many other aspects of the Catholic faith, such as moral theology, purgatory, and the various seasons and days of the liturgical year. There is a full Confirmation course as well as a course on the Ten Commandments. The Daily Readings are also offered with questions for reflection.
History courses are being added and science courses are in the works. Over time, the school plans to provide education in every major academic subject area.
The school draws upon resources from Catholic.Org, the World's Catholic Library to enrich its lessons.
Each course comes with complete lesson plans. Those plans include; learning objectives, study guides, resources, assessments and answer keys. The centerpiece of each lesson is a video along with a complete script. Videos are concise and clearly explain key concepts in simple terms. Most videos are only a few minutes long so they can be easily incorporated into a lesson.
Most importantly, all of the school's lessons are reviewed for complete adherence to the magesterium of the Catholic Church. No content is published that contradicts the teachings and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. All content is reviewed by trained, Catholic clergy.
Many schools and parishes are using Catholic Online School in their instruction. Teachers appreciate the wide variety of content and the short format which makes it easy to teach important concepts to students. Homeschoolers are also using the content to provide free Catholic education to their children. Catechists are using the content to assist with RCIA instruction.
Anyone can benefit from Catholic Online School, they just have to enroll. You can enroll by clicking this link. All courses are free! There's no tuition, no books or materials to buy, and no fees whatsoever. The school is truly 100 percent free to enjoy.
