El Papa Francisco recordo a dos santos que este miercoles 8 y jueves 9 de gosto celebran su memoria y fiesta: Santo Domingo de Guzman y Santa Teresa Benedicta de la Cruz, conocida tambien por su nombre de bautismo Edith Stein.

VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - Al termino de la Audiencia General del miercoles, el Pontifice recordo que la santa que murio en el campo de concentracion nazi de Auschwitz fue una "martir, mujer de coherencia, mujer que busca a Dios con honestidad, con amor" y "una mujer martir de su pueblo judio y cristiano". "Patrona de Europa, ora y cuida a Europa desde el cielo", le pidio.
Sobre Santo Domingo de Guzman, fundador de la Orden de Predicadores, mas conocidos como Dominicos, Francisco dijo que puede servir de modelo para los esposos recien casados: "que su ejemplo de fiel servidor de Cristo y de su Iglesia sea de estimulo para todos nosotros".
