El Vaticano conmemora los 6 anos del Pontificado de Francisco con esta medalla

La Santa Sede conmemorara los seis anos de Pontificado del Papa Francisco, que se cumpliran el 13 de marzo de 2019, con la emision de una medalla que se podra adquirir a partir de este jueves 26 de julio en la Libreria Editrice Vaticana.

VATICANO (ACI Prensa) - La medalla del VI Ano del Pontificado de Su Santidad Francisco, como se dominara la emision de forma oficial, tendra por su cara principal una paloma desde la que surgen haces de luces concentricas que iluminan el escudo papal representando de forma simbolica los dones que el Espiritu Santo entrega a la Iglesia.
En el reverso de la medalla, en su parte superior, figura el triunfo de la paz representado con una rama de olivo y el abrazo de la Madre al Nino. Por el contrario, en la zona inferior del reverso, aparece una valla de espinos metalicos, simbolo de opresion y violencia, representando de ese modo la guerra.
Dividiendo ambas escenas, paz y guerra, se alza la tradicional flor de la amapola, simbolo de los caidos en la guerra. Bordeando todo el reverso se puede leer la frase "Nada se pierde con la paz. Todo puede perderse con la guerra", pronunciada el 24 de agosto de 1939 por el Papa Pio XII en un mensaje de radio.
De esta manera, se intenta transmitir la idea de que, un siglo despues de finalizar la Primera Guerra Mundial, la eleccion entre paz y guerra todavia resulta dramaticamente actual.
Por ultimo, en el borde de la manera figura la inscripcion: "E Civitate Vaticana", junto con el numero de la medalla. Cada ejemplar esta acompanado de un certificado de garantia, enumerado y con sello de la Secretaria de Estado y del Instituto Poligrafico y la Casa de la Moneda del Estado Italiano.
